It was your first day of kindergarten and you were extremely nervous. You never really wanted to go in the first place. Your dad insisted and even dragged you out of bed this morning!
“Daddy I don’t want to go…” you whined.
Your father just sighed. That was the umpteenth time you said that today. It was getting kind of annoying.
He knelt to your level and playfully messed your (h/l) , (h/c) hair.
“C’mon love… stiff upper lip. The first day of school is going to be over before you know it.” He said trying to make you want to go to school.
“But what if the teacher is mean..or if the other kids pick on me? Or what if a UFO crashes in the classroom?!”
Now you were just being unreasonable.
“The chances of those happening are very bleak (y/n).”
Arthur swears you’ve been having way too much time reading those silly comic books you have at your house. He wishes that you indulge yourself more with history books or maybe something relatively educational.
“Just be good ok?” He kissed your forehead and dropped you off at school.
“I will pick you up later alright?”
“Yes daddy.” You watched as he then sped away in his car.
Easier said than done…

Your dad was right. The teacher was nice and no one has been teasing you yet so that has to be a good sign.
But... the only problem now was that, it was already recess and you haven’t made any friends yet. You were getting kind off worried. Most kids were already on their tables chatting and eating their food while you were still alone.
You sighed.
You expected this to happen. You took out a sandwich from your bag and began eating quietly.
You were then disturbed from eating when you noticed that someone sat beside you and got a burger from his lunch box.
He had had blonde hair that was a bit messy and a strand of it that seemed to be defying gravity. But what caught your attention were his striking blue eyes.
He seemed to have caught you staring, “What are you looking at?”
You squeaked and quickly look away. That was so embarrassing
You decided to look at the boy again and start a conversation. “Um… what is your name?”
He seemed to be surprised by your question. “Why, I’m Alfred F. Jones, The hero~”
You giggled, “I’m (y/n), (y/n) Kirkland.”
You found out that you had a lot in common and after that you have been best friends since.

The day ended pretty quickly with Alfred.
You did everything together after recess like, making macaroni pictures, coloring the pages of coloring books and telling each other stories.
But then, the bell rang…
“Aww… do we have to go home? I’m not done with my story yet.” The blonde complained.
“It’s ok. You can tell me again tomorrow.” You reassured.
“You’re no fun (y/n). I was just getting to the best part.”
You smiled at his childishness.
You were about to near the gates of the school when you saw your dad’s car in the distance.
“I have to go. See you tomorrow Alfie.” You were running towards the gate when he pulled you back and gave you a bear hug. Your (e/c) eyes widened and your cheeks were dusted into a nice shade of pink.
He then let go and ran the other direction.
“BYE (y/n) ~” he shouted as he was far away from you by then.
You approached your dad’s car and sat on the passenger’s seat.
“So, did a UFO crash in your classroom?”
You laughed, “No daddy, there were no UFO’s.”
“How was your first day?”
“It was wonderful.”
You looked outside the car window and then wondered what was in store for you tomorrow.
